Hi!
I’m MTRNord — a 25-year-old student from Germany with a passion for Matrix, Rust, and open-source software.
I am doing Matrix, Git related things, Photography and Music in my Leisure time. I also enjoy writing and reading.

Professionally, I am currently working over at Nordeck, and before that, I spent four years at Famedly. In both companies, my focus was on the Matrix in both Frontend with React and Backend with languages like Rust.
Outside my profession, I am also further engaging in Matrix as the Chair of the Website & Content Working group. That means I am one of the currently 3 volunteers taking care of the technical stack of both the matrix.org and the conference.matrix.org websites, as well as some content on matrix.org. Especially, I am one of the Authors of the weekly “This Week in Matrix” format.
What is in my Camera bag?
Over the years of doing photography, I gathered a few things for my camera bag. Specifically, I am shooting on Canon. I started with the EOS 4000D and switched a few years ago to the Canon EOS R8 as my camera.
Beyond the camera body, I have a few lenses:
- Canon Lens RF 100-400mm F5.6-8 IS USM
 - Canon 50mm (EF variant)
 - TTArtisan 50mm Tilt
 - TTArtisan 11mm ED F2.8 Fisheye

I also have a few filters, however the main filter I am using currently is the “Everyday” filter by PolarPro which is used on basically all images I have taken in the last half year.
What languages do I code? What projects do I have?
My Main languages at this time are Typescript, Rust, C++23 and R.
As a result of this, I made many projects over at my GitHub. Below are my main projects I am proud of:
- Connectivity Tester for Matrix — A tool for checking Matrix federation and client API connectivity.
 - Erooster — A rust-based mail server.
 - Cetirizine — A personal Matrix Client written in Typescript
 - Matrix Art — A proof-of-concept DeviantArt-like platform built on Matrix.
